Meaning:The name of this candle is meant to symbolize the fullness of prosperity in life when we put our faith in the Lord. We can visualize the metaphors in this verse as we experience the earthy notes of lemongrass and myrrh with the bright sweetness of Neroli and zing of May Chang scent combining to stimulate our senses. By reflecting on the word "prosper" and what it encapsulates through Scripture, it can help us gain understanding of the peace, fruitfulness and tranquility that washes over us when we meditate on the law that God gave us through His word. We pray the intentional oils in this candle bring the passages we read in Word of God to life, and enhance the meaning behind the verse chosen for each candle.
Biblical Oil | Myrrh:
Myrrh was used in ancient Israelite temple worship as an ingredient in the holy anointing oil for consecrating priests, the tabernacle, and kings (Exodus 30:23–25). It was also used in the purification of Queen Esther (Esther 2:12), and in embalming (see John 19:39). In ancient times, Myrrh was treated as a perfume and was used to anoint dead bodies. Myrrh is, in the Christian faith symbolic of Jesus’ death. People use myrrh for back pain, diarrhea, parasite infections, wound healing, and many other conditions. It also contains compounds that interact with opioid receptors and tell your brain that you're not in pain. Myrrh also is known to block the production of inflammatory chemicals that can lead to swelling and pain. Myrrh has antibacterial, wound healing, and anticancer properties.
